TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE AND ADMISSION

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) regulate access to and use of the official website of Union University of Albania in Europe (“University”), including, without limitation, the submission and processing of applications, admission-related services, enrolment, academic programmes, short programmes, international student support, and other services made available through the University.

For the purposes of these Terms, “Applicant” means any person submitting an application for admission or participation in a programme; “Student” means an Applicant whose admission and enrolment have been formally accepted by the University; and “Website” means the University's official website and associated online application platforms operated or authorized by the University.

By accessing the Website, submitting an application, registering for a programme, making any payment, or otherwise using the University's services, the relevant person confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.

Where an Applicant does not agree with these Terms, the Applicant shall refrain from submitting an application or using the University's services.
 
2. INSTITUTIONAL STATUS

The University operates in the Republic of Albania in accordance with applicable Albanian legislation and the requirements imposed by the competent public authorities.

The University's academic programmes, institutional activities, and educational services shall be provided subject to the University's applicable authorizations, licences, accreditation decisions, regulations, and other requirements in force at the relevant time.

Any reference on the Website to recognition, authorization, licensing, accreditation, certification, or institutional status shall be interpreted strictly in accordance with the relevant official act or decision issued by the competent Albanian authority.
 
3. PROGRAMMES

The University may offer, subject to applicable regulatory and institutional requirements:

a. Bachelor programmes;
b. Master programmes; and
c. Short-term, professional, intensive, continuing-education, or specialized programmes.

The University reserves the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to amend programme structures, curricula, schedules, delivery methods, admission criteria, duration, fees, or availability.

Information published on the Website concerning a programme constitutes general information and shall not, by itself,constitute an unconditional contractual offer of admission.
 
4. DIRECT APPLICATION

Applicants may submit applications directly to the University through the University's official application channels.

The University shall not be responsible for representations, promises, fees, or commitments made by persons or organizations falsely claiming to represent the University.

Applicants are strongly advised to communicate directly with the University's officially designated admissions office and to use only official University payment and communication channels.

Submission of an application does not create an entitlement to admission.
 
5. APPLICANT ELIGIBILITY

Each Applicant shall satisfy the academic, documentary, administrative, linguistic, and other requirements applicable to the programme for which admission is sought.

The University may require original documents, certified copies, translations, legalization, verification, authentication, or other evidence of the Applicant's qualifications.

The University reserves the right to verify submitted information with relevant educational institutions, governmental authorities, examination bodies, or other competent entities, insofar as permitted by applicable law.
 
6. ACCURACY AND AUTHENTICITY OF INFORMATION

The Applicant warrants that all information and documentation supplied to the University is true, complete, accurate, authentic, and not misleading.

The submission of forged, altered, fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise invalid documentation constitutes a material breach of these Terms.

Where the University determines, or reasonably suspects, that an Applicant has submitted fraudulent or materially misleading information, the University may, subject to applicable law:

a. reject the application;
b. withdraw an admission decision;
c. cancel enrolment;
d. terminate participation in a programme;
e. refuse the issuance of University documentation; and/or
f. refer the matter to the competent authorities where required or permitted by law.
 
7. ADMISSION

Admission shall become effective only upon formal confirmation by the University through its authorized admissions procedures.

An admission decision may be conditional upon the submission or verification of outstanding documentation or satisfaction of other stated conditions.

An admission letter or other communication issued by the University shall not be interpreted as guaranteeing:

a. the issuance of a visa;
b. entry into Albania;
c. the granting of a residence permit;
d. recognition of qualifications by a third country;
e. employment; or
f. any particular academic or professional outcome.
 
8. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The University welcomes international Applicants and seeks to provide appropriate administrative guidance throughout the admission and pre-arrival process.

International Applicants remain personally responsible for complying with all applicable requirements relating to:

a. entry into Albania;
b. visas;
c. residence permits;
d. immigration status;
e. passport validity;
f. health insurance;
g. financial means; and
h. any other legal requirement applicable to their circumstances.

The University may provide administrative information and documentation to assist an admitted Student but does not act as the competent immigration authority.
 
9. VISA SUPPORT AND IMMIGRATION MATTERS

Where applicable, the University may provide admitted international Students with institutional documentation and reasonable administrative guidance concerning the Albanian student visa or residence procedure.

Such support may include providing admission documentation, enrolment confirmation, programme information, and other documents lawfully issued by the University.

The University does not guarantee the issuance of a visa, residence permit, authorization to enter Albania, or continuation of immigration status.

All decisions concerning visas, entry, residence, immigration status, and related matters are made exclusively by the competent Albanian authorities.

Visa refusal, delay, cancellation, or other immigration decision shall not, by itself, constitute a breach of contract by the University.

Applicants remain responsible for ensuring that all documents submitted to governmental or consular authorities are accurate and complete.
 
10. TUITION FEES AND FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS

Applicants and Students shall pay tuition fees and other applicable charges in accordance with the University's officially communicated fee schedule and applicable enrolment terms.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, Students shall be responsible for all personal and third-party expenses, including:

a. visa and immigration fees;
b. document translation and legalization;
c. travel expenses;
d. accommodation;
e. health or travel insurance;
f. banking and transfer charges; and
g. living expenses.

Failure to pay applicable fees by the prescribed deadline may result in suspension of enrolment, restriction of access to academic services, or other measures permitted under University regulations and applicable law.

11. STUDENT OBLIGATIONS

Upon enrolment, Students shall comply with:

a. University statutes and regulations;
b. academic rules and procedures;
c. examination regulations;
d. disciplinary requirements;
e. payment obligations;
f. applicable Albanian legislation; and
g. reasonable instructions issued by authorized University personnel.

Students shall conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the University's academic and institutional standards.
 
12. ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

The University maintains standards of academic integrity.

Plagiarism, examination fraud, impersonation, fabrication or falsification of academic work, fraudulent documentation, unauthorized assistance, and other forms of academic misconduct are prohibited.

Academic misconduct may result in disciplinary or academic measures in accordance with the University's applicable regulations and applicable law.
 
13. WEBSITE USE

Users shall use the Website only for lawful purposes.

Users shall not:

a. interfere with the operation or security of the Website;
b. attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
c. introduce malicious software or code;
d. impersonate another person or institution;
e. submit fraudulent information;
f. reproduce Website content for unauthorized commercial purposes; or
g. use the Website in violation of applicable law.

The University reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the Website where necessary to protect its systems, users, academic community, or legitimate interests.
 
14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless expressly stated otherwise, all intellectual property appearing on the Website, including University names, logos, trademarks, text, graphics, photographs, videos, programme descriptions, documents, designs, and other original materials, is owned by or lawfully used by the University.

No person may reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, transmit, commercially exploit, or otherwise use protected material without the prior written authorization of the University, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
 
15. PERSONAL DATA

The University shall process personal data in accordance with applicable Albanian data-protection legislation and the University's Privacy Policy.

Personal data may be processed for legitimate purposes including admission, enrolment, academic administration, communication, regulatory compliance, verification of documentation, and, where applicable, the provision of administrative support relating to visa or immigration procedures.

The University's processing of personal data shall be governed additionally by the University's Privacy Policy, which forms part of the University's legal framework for Website use.
 
16. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

The Website may contain links to external websites, governmental platforms, educational institutions, payment providers, or other third-party services.

The inclusion of a link does not constitute endorsement or guarantee of the content, availability, security, accuracy, or practices of the third party.

Users access third-party services at their own responsibility and subject to the relevant third party's terms and policies.
 
17. DISCLAIMERS

The University shall take reasonable measures to maintain accurate and reliable information on the Website. Nevertheless, the University does not warrant that all Website content will at all times be complete, current, uninterrupted, or free from errors.

The University does not warrant or guarantee:

a. admission of every Applicant;
b. issuance of any visa or residence permit;
c. uninterrupted Website availability;
d. employment following completion of a programme;
e. recognition of a qualification in every foreign jurisdiction; or
f. any specific academic, professional, financial, or immigration outcome.

Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or restrict any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
 
18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the University shall not be liable for loss, delay, expense, or damage resulting directly or indirectly from matters outside the University's reasonable control, including governmental or consular decisions, visa processing delays, immigration decisions, third-party service failures, transportation disruptions, or events of force majeure.

Nothing in these Terms shall limit liability arising from fraud, intentional misconduct, or any other circumstance for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. FORCE MAJEURE

The University shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, civil unrest, epidemic or pandemic measures, governmental action, strikes, serious infrastructure failures, cyber incidents, or other events constituting force majeure under applicable law.
